From 2012 to 2013, he portrayed the character of Lord Vishnu (Goddess Lakshmi’s consort who reincarnated as Lord Rama) in the Zee TV mythological drama series Ramayan. The show is an adaptation of the epic poem Ramcharitmanas.
Alongside Kajal Jain, Gungun Uprari, Sanket Choukse, Kabir Bedi, Sameer Dharmadhikari, Jagat Singh, Reshmi Ghosh, Siddharth Vasudev, Amit Behl, and Hemant Choudhary, Himanshu Soni co-starred as Prince Siddharth/Gautama Buddha in the historical drama television series Buddha — Rajaon Ka Raja (English: Buddha — The King of Kings) from 2013 to 2014.
Himanshu Soni brought to life the character of Shivaye (Bhagwan Das’s friend and Parvati’s husband) in the Zee TV comedy show Neeli Chatri Waale from 2014 to 2016. His co-stars for the project included Yashpal Sharma, Rajesh Kumar, Disha Savla, and Mithilesh Chaturvedi.
