Mariska Hargitay from 'Law & Order: SVU' Shared Rare Photo of Her Actress Mother Jayne Mansfield
Mariska Hargitay of "Law & Order" celebrated "NationalHuggingDay" by uploading an adorable picture of her mom, Jayne Mansfield.
It doesn't matter how long ago veteran actress, Jayne who was notable for her "Marilyn Monroe" character kicked the bucket; her daughter is showing that out of sight, is never out of mind.
Both mother and daughter have a striking resemblance, and just like her actress mother, Mariska has a penchant for acting and excellent delivery of roles.

Recently, she took to the gram to show off her pretty mother in a fur coat as she hugged herself tightly in a wide-eyed grin. Then the "Law & Order: SVU" star told her audience that her mother passed down some hugging traits to her. The post read:
"#NationalHuggingDay I'm a hugger #IGotItFromMyMama."
Many Instagram followers swooped in with hearty comments, detailing the mother and daughter's facial resemblance and likeness.
A few fans took to celebrating the deceased entertainer and referred to her as a "sweet mom." This would be the most suitable adjective for the actress's late mum as she once revealed in an interview about how loving her mother was.
Mariska reveals that her mother's memory will never elude her with her actions, showing how invaluable a love between a mother and a child can seem.
Although she was a toddler when her mother passed away, her admiration for Jayne is priceless. Without viewing her from the public's perception, she said:
"My mother was this amazing, beautiful, glamorous sex symbol, but… she played the violin and had a 160 IQ...She was an inspiration. She had this appetite for life...I share that with her."
Having survived the car crash that claimed the life of Jayne in 1967, the 53-year-old actress also revealed what life has been like for her without a mother figure.

Mariska stated that she learned to soar above her pain and take the bull by the horns by not slowing down her pace in her quest for success.
Although the pain still resides within now that she's older and is a family woman, the entertainer admits to understanding her mother even more.
With a family so "perfect" and "chaotic," this includes her husband, Peter Hermann, and their three kids, the actress is living her best life and has no worries.
