One Direction May Very Well Break A Billboard Music Awards Record in 2016

Breaking records is nothing new for the lads of One Direction; it’s something Harry, Louis, Liam, and Niall are very familiar with, and even with their hiatus – the boys are still making waves in the industry.

The Billboard Music Awards will air on May 22nd and if One Direction wins the Top Duo/Artist category; it won’t be the only wow moment for them that evening.  Currently, Destiny’s Child and One Direction are tied with two wins in the Top Duo/Artists category – if One Direction takes the stage to win it for the third time, they not only go home with a billboard award but the knowledge that they’ve broken a record for the award show as a whole – that’s incredible!

It comes as no surprise that Liam, Niall, Louis, and Harry are still breaking records even during their down time from One Direction.  The band has become more than just a group of performers who have great songs and play exquisite concerts.  They’ve formed a bond with their fans and with each other that just serves as just one of the many reasons the band stands out above the rest.
