Tekashi 6ix9ine Challenges Akon To Go Hit-For-Hit Akon Accepts
Tekashi 6ix9ine and Akon may be going hit-for-hit in a new Instagram Live session, and while the pairing is improbable, many fans on social media are eagerly awaiting to see what this unlikely duo has in store. On the 16th of May, Akon said on his IG Story that none other than Tekashi 6ix9ine challenged him to a battle online.
The artist wrote on his IG Story that fans can tune in around 3:30 pm to see the battle go down, although, it’s not entirely clear what they’re going to do for the fans. Later, however, Hot New Hip Hop reported that Akon actually deleted the Instagram Story.
Interestingly, Akon and Tekashi 6ix9ine support each other, at least tangentially. When Tekashi 6ix9ine’s legal battle was first announced in the media, Akon came out to defend his decision to rat out his former associates in the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods.
Maybe that’s why Tekashi reached out to him for a rap battle. Whether it’s going to happen or not, Tekashi certainly knows how to get his name in the headlines.

As it was previously reported, Tekashi 6ix9ine was released to home confinement earlier this year after serving the majority of his prison sentence in a federal penitentiary.
However, after requesting an early release to his home, the rapper was surprisingly allowed to serve the rest of his sentence from the comfort of his house but with an ankle monitor on, of course.
In fact, Daniel Hernandez, also known as Tekashi 6ix9ine, posted a picture of his ankle monitor earlier this week and told fans that if it reached 500,000 likes, he’d drop a new music video next week. Regardless, Tekashi has been making a lot of people mad in the hip-hop world.

For instance, earlier this week, Hernandez accused Snoop Dogg of helping put Suge Knight behind bars as a federal informant. Snoop Dogg took the bait and actually responded, saying to the performer that everyone in the scene knows he had nothing to do with Suge Knight’s imprisonment.
